Copper alloys

MEDEKO is a leader in the production of high-quality copper alloys. As the largest purchaser of non-ferrous metal scrap in our region, including copper and brass materials, we utilize recycled materials to create superior copper alloy semi-finished products that meet diverse industrial needs.

Copper alloys are materials made by combining copper with other metals, such as zinc, tin, or nickel, to enhance their mechanical and physical properties. These alloys offer excellent conductivity, corrosion resistance, and strength, making them ideal for various industrial applications.

Product detail

Casted alloys

A broad variety of copper-based alloys: tin bronze, RG bronze, tin bronzes with high lead content (e.g. CuZn7PB15), aluminium bronze and brass alloys.

DIMENSIONS

Alloys are supplied by default in 90 x 60 x 250 mm blocks with a weight of 9 - 10 kg.

STANDARDS

As a standard, our alloys comply with international, Czech and Slovak standards EN, DIN, STN a ČSN. We can manufacture alloys according to customer specifications on demand.

Quality

Every shipment is accompanied by a chemical composition certificate. Before casting an alloy into blocks, we first check the chemical composition of the melted material using a spark spectrometer. Depending on the chemical analysis results, we fine-tune the composition to fully conform to the applicable standard or customer specification. Our quality management relies on an integrated quality management system conforming to ISO 9001:2015. We are also holders of certificates ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and P.E.D..

Production process

As the largest purchaser of non-ferrous metal scrap, we ensure a steady and sustainable supply of raw materials. Our production process includes:
Scrap Collection and Sorting: We meticulously collect and sort scrap to ensure the highest quality raw materials.
Melting and Alloying: The sorted scrap is melted and alloyed to create various copper alloys with specific properties.
Casting into Blocks: The molten alloy is cast into blocks, ready to be supplied to foundries and bar producers.
Quality Control: Rigorous testing and quality control ensure that our products meet industry standards and customer specifications.

Advantages of Our Copper Alloys

Sustainability: By using recycled scrap metal, we reduce environmental impact and promote sustainability.
Excellent Conductivity: Copper alloys maintain high electrical and thermal conductivity.
Corrosion Resistance: Superior resistance to corrosion makes these alloys suitable for harsh environments.
High Strength and Durability: Enhanced mechanical properties ensure long-lasting performance.
Versatility: Suitable for a wide range of applications across multiple industries.
